Praise the Lord and Good Evening,
My cornbread and milk taste test results......disgusting!! Absolutely disgusting. My experience with Jesus......amazing!!! Absolutely amazing. There is nothing like being able to testify for yourself about the power of God. Now we all know that one man's dream of a wonderful mean is completely different from another's.....If you listen to those who claim unsweetened cornbread and milk is the best evening snack, you think differently from my view.
Jesus had friends and foes......depending on who you talked to his was either a rebel or the Savior. My cornbread and milk decision doesn't impact eternity.....so, it's okay if I like it or don't. That's my personal choice and has no bearing on where I will live eternally. However, often time people choose how they live as if eternity means as much as whether or not your prefer cornbread and milk or not.
Serving the Lord carries a far greater weight than my little corbread and milk taste test! Jesus is soon to return and if we are going to see Him in peace, we've got to make the decision daily to follow Him (it's not a casual thing). There's nothing light about serving the Lord and as saints, especially as saints, we shouldn't take our walk with the Lord casually.
I was talking to someone the other day about a situation where one person's decision changed the entire course of that situation. That's how weighty our walk with the Lord is.....no, we're not supposed to be sour about serving the Lord, but we should always keep in mind the seriousness of what we're doing as saints. There's no way you can do what you want, when you want, the manner in which you want, ignore God's Word and then still make it in the end. Even Jesus had disciples who started with him and then turned back.....your daily walk directly impacts where you will spend eternity. Yes, we as saints know this....but do we take it as seriously as we should?
There is no consequence to my disliking cornbread and milk. There is an eternal consequence to not following all the Lord has set before us.....seasoned saints should be even more aware of the urgency to be all God is calling for (as my late maternal grandmother, Ellen Fulmore, used to stand up and testify..."pray for me in these last and evil days that I may be all God is calling for.") We've tried Him and know Him to be good....I've been convinced that the Lord is good!
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest. 28) Then Agrippa said unto Paul, almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. (Acts 26:27-28 KJV)

Matt 11:28-29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
