Praise the Lord and Good Evening,
God delivers. Every time. It's just that simple. He delivers. He is not obligated to do it in a fashion that meets our approval. No we don't always vocalize how we expect God to deliver....but when time seems to be running short and options seem to dwindle, it is easy to fall into the trap of wondering why the Lord isn't doing something before it's too late. But here's the thing...it's never too late with the Lord.
Who would think that the Lord was working on time Esther? He allowed her to experience hardship....a young woman who lost both parents and is blessed to make it in life, only to find herself (and her nation) in jeopardy because of the hatred of one man named Haman? Wouldn't it have been easier just to wipe out Haman before he got out of hand? Wouldn't it make more sense to just destroy him early in the lives of Mordecai and Esther? Couldn't the Lord have spared Esther the agony of uncertainty of going before the king unannounced? He could have....the Lord is King of Kings.....but again, the Lord is the Master at delivering us. Sometimes it is in the how He does it that brings us once again to recognizing, appreciating, applauding and extolling Him as Savior!!
I thank the Lord for assuring us He is still in control and yes, He is still delivering! He may tell you to stand still and see His salvation. He may call upon you to stand before your Goliath and kill him. You may be required to go through a fiery furnace to be delivered. Regardless of you are delivered...be it by disgusting birds like ravens or the kind hand of a woman with little to spare.....He will deliver You! He has your deliverance already planned....it was set long before you were born and this deliverance is just one of a lifetime of deliverances.....He won't fail you but the Lord will deliver you.
And even to your old age I am he: and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear: even I will carry, and will deliver you. (Isaiah 46:4 KJV)
