Praise the Lord and Good Evening,
I read something earlier today that made me think. I read that sharks are a great fish to purchase for personal aquariums because they grow in proportion to the size of the tank they are in. So you could have a fully mature shark that is only 6 inches long. It's still a shark and still has potential to be dangerous, but he's just growing according to where he lives. He has potential.....He is deadly, but based on where you put him, he may or may not mature to his potential...
What about you? Are you growing based on your circumstances? You shouldn't be......if one can put a thousand to flight, then you aren't "just one person". You have potential to be more than a conquerer wherever you are....God didn't tell you to grow based on your surroundings, if that was the case most of us wouldn't make it.....as saints, we grow despite our surroundings/circumstances. Look at the Israelites, the more the Egyptians bore down on them, the more they grew. Afflictions strengthen saints. Of course, none of us want to experience them....we want to grow under sunny skies and moonlit nights free of frustration. But I want to encourage you right where you are, in whatever condition you are....David was a power house in the company of a bear and a lion. No one else knew until Goliath showed up....but David wasn't shocked at the task because he was well aware of the potential....yes he was a young man..not an ounce of military experience...but he didn't need it because it wasn't what he needed.....God showed him his potential behind closed doors....so when he got to the battlefield and heard the giant, he walked in what he knew wasn't potential but present power.....
Could you imagine if Joseph would have said, "Uh, I can't work under these conditions in prison....I'm confined. Why even bother to ask the butler and baker why they're sad? Of course they're sad, they are in prison, just like me." But Joseph didn't do that...What about you? What are you waiting for? Maybe He put you there for such a time as this!! God gave you the potential.....reach it, right here!
